It can be frustrating, having spent significant sums of money, to find a selection of door mirrors, windscreen wipers, rear wings and other small pieces littering your living room by the end of the first day of use. Whilst detailed Slotcar models are capable of withstanding racing contact and even the occasional cross-over or lane change incident, they tend to suffer in high speed contact with hard objects like skirting boards and table legs!

 

Unfortunately, this is exactly the type of incident that can often occur in the hands of children or novices as they develop the skills and control required to get a Slotcar safely around the track.

 

Thankfully there is a range of cars which are designed to be much more resistant to such impacts and are, therefore, ideal for novices and children to develop these skills. Because these cars do not have such great detail, they are also lighter, handle well, very quick and hold the lap record on many an enthusiasts favourite circuit.
