Postage, Delivery & Insurance

Slotcar Pitstop does not have a minimum order & shipping charge.

• Each item has a shipping weight which can be found in the detail on the expanded view of each item, just click on the picture or link.
• The shopping cart will automatically calculate the weight of your items and charge the appropriate price at the checkout.
• These prices are for shipping within the UK & E.U. and include all packaging costs and VAT at the standard rate of 17.5%*.

UK Delivery & Insurance

Please note that delivery times are given in good faith but may vary due to the time of year and how busy the service is, as a guideline please see below.

• UK Signed For Insured is sent by recorded mail for items up to 2kg which may mean the item is delivered next day but may take 5 days, the item has a basic insurance of up to 100 times the stamp value, currently this is £36.00 for first class; if you order two cars I may send them as separate items so that they a fully covered, or by Parcel Post. Where the package is of low weight  but high value eg. spare parts, it may be necessary to review the postage cost. All packages of 2kg or more are sent via Parcelforce 48 Hour Service and are fully insured

• Next DayDelivery is sent by either Special Delivery or Parcelforce 24 Hour service for the heavier items, normally items are delivered within 24 hours to all areas of the UK and are fully insured. 

• Most items are despatched within 24 hours of receipt of order, if there is a problem you will be alerted to this by  e-mail.

• FREE 48 HOUR SHIPPING IS AVAILABLE ON CARS, TRACK AND ACCESSORIES WHERE THE ORDER IS £250 or MORE; SETS ARE NOT INCLUDED

If you require delivery faster than the standard option you need to confirm this with me first. Next day delivery is possible by using Special Delivery. The Next day Delivery pricing above is for delivery by mid-day to most areas times vary in the Shetlands, Orkneys, Highlands of Scotland and some Channel Islands; orders need to be in and agreed with me and confirmed by e-mail latest by 12 noon of the previous day. For 'Express Parcels' over 2kg (due to Parcelforce terms and conditions) delivery to these areas may incur a surcharge. Delivery by 9.00am the next day is also possible, it carries a premium, the best advice in all circumstances is to check with me first if you are at all unsure. Saturday deliveries cannot be guaranteed and are subject to a surcharge if 2KG or over (this is due to the carrier's terms and conditions).

    E.U. and World wide Delivery & Insurance

• All packages under 2kg are despatched using Royal Mail and are sent by Royal Mail Signed For and are trackable . All Parcels over 2kg are sent via Parcelforce European or International Service are fully insured and require a signature upon delivery. Pricing for  parcels over 2kg is a guideline only and is subject to confirmation once the items are packed. This is because the carriers charge for the size of the parcel, not the weight!

• Most items are despatched within 24 hours of receipt of order, if there is a problem you will be alerted to this by  e-mail. Depending upon customs and the local delivery service delivery times vary but most packages will arrive within 7-14 days; this may be extended during the Christmas posting period.

• A SHIPPING DISCOUNT OF £10.00 IS AVAILABLE ON CARS, TRACK AND ACCESSORIES WHERE THE ORDER IS £250 or MORE; SETS ARE NOT INCLUDED

In all instances if an item is returned to me due to the carrier being unable to deliver any  cost to return the item to me and a redelivery charge is payable.
